Interest in and association with The Alcateia do Lobo Ecovillage Project is available in three different levels..
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
This membership is for members of the general public who stumble upon information about The Alcateia do Lobo Ecovillage which resonates with them and they would like to know more.
This membership is comprised of two subcategories of Applicants who have successfully passed selection process and have been granted full Tribal Status: the Co-Founding Team and the Pioneer Group – The first group of Members to settle on the property at the start of the ecovillage.

MEMBERSHIP PROCESSES
Although the Wolf Tribe maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination of any kind whatsoever, in the interests of the long-term survival of The Wolf Tribe itself, it must adhere to a strict community membership and evaluation process.
Furthermore, in the interests of a fruitful, long-term relationship, both the existing Wolf Tribe members and the new, would-be tribe member, must “connect” at several levels. It is vital that the would-be tribe member has the maturity to leave his/her ego behind and is prepared to join the community with a desirable attitude.
To this end, all would-be Wolf Tribe Members are required to complete an in-depth questionnaire which enables us to evaluate whether they would be able to live with The Wolf Tribe at The Alcateia do Lobo and whether the Wolf Tribe would be able to live with them!
The purpose of Enquirer Membership is simply for The Enquirer to find out whether they’d like to learn more about The Alcateia do Lobo. Anyone who is curious about the project would be invited to attend an introductory meeting, which we offer regularly.
The meeting includes an introduction to our vision for the ecovillage, and a chance to ask questions and meet other interested people.
Enquirers’ contact information is to be added to our mailing list so that we may send the Enquirer an Alcateia do Lobo PROSPECTUS and alert them to upcoming meetings or events.
As an Enquirer they would have no responsibilities towards the group except to let us know whether or not they are interested in taking the next membership step.
The next step in the journey toward becoming a full member of The Wolf Tribe at The Alcateia do Lobo Ecovillage, is Pioneer Clan Membership. Its purpose is to give interested people who feel passionately resonant with this vision and feel they have the skills, experience and deep inner guidance to join the project at a Founder’s level. As the team of Co-Founders comes together and we pool our experience, expertise, and resources, this project will begin to unfold into form and blossom in beautiful ways! Pioneer Clan Membership requires that a series of questionnaires are submitted for evaluation together with a non-refundable membership fee. On approval, the Pioneer is required to purchase a share in the Alcateia do Lobo Tribal Land Trust and on receipt of payment for the share, is granted full Wolf Tribe status and welcomed to the Ecovillage.
The Wolf Tribe is comprised of Pioneer Clan Members - those who formed the Co-Founders Team, those settling at the property to commence with the development of our Ecovillage, and then Settlers who join the community during the subsequent phases.
Those interested in Wolf Tribe Membership are required submit a series of questionnaires for evaluation and pay a non-refundable membership fee.
Thereafter, applicants are then invited to visit The Alcateia do Lobo Ecovillage in order to get to know the Wolf Tribe Members already on the property. On obtaining membership application approval, the Applicant will be required to purchase a share in the Alcateia do Lobo Tribal Land Trust and on receipt of payment for the share, the Applicant will be granted full Wolf Tribe status and welcomed to the Ecovillage.
